Almatec® AODD Pumps

Since its founding in 1984, Almatec Maschinenbau GmbH has concentrated on continuously defining the current state-of-the-art in pneumatic (air-operated) diaphragm pumps via extensive product enhancements and innovations.

  1984 Series AD (Multicor)
Baureihe AD Multicor

The compact and "closed" design of these pneumatic diaphragm pumps immediately became Almatec's trademark. The massive plastic construction provided the mass an oscillating pump requires. The housing material used for wetted parts was either abrasion-resistant polyethylene or the almost universally chemically resistant PTFE. The outer surface was completely metal-free. Diaphragms with integrated metal core and without outer pistons, as well as the choice of either ball or cylinder valves offered a choice for any application.

1998 A-Series

After 14 years of successful penetration of the market, the Series AD was replaced by the A-Series pneumatic diaphragm pump in 1998. All housing parts (non-wetted as well) were made from the same material. Fluid connections were integrated into the center housing and were designed to fit flange connections as well. Various connection patterns could be realized by rotating the center housing. Pump versions with either ball or cylinder valves could easily be switched over due to the pump's identical inner structures.

2009 E-Series

Based on the extensive experience with the A-Series pumps, the E-Series plastic air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump was developed in 2009. The result and the name capture the spirit of Almatec's vision: E = economic, efficient, ecological.

  • further increased pump safety due to innovative ring-tightening structure
  • increased capacity
  • decreased air consumption
  • reduced noise level
  • optimized flow pattern
  • pulsation damper suitable for flange connection
